Pookie & Sebastian wants everyone to be able to browse and shop our website, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or keyboard-only navigation.
Our standard
We aim for our website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we've done
In October 2026 we launched a redesigned website and audited every page template against WCAG 2.2 AA using automated testing and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks. Improvements include:
- Text and buttons with sufficient colour contrast
- A clearly visible focus indicator for keyboard users, and a "Skip to content" link
- Menus, the cart and other pop-up panels that can be opened, used and closed with a keyboard
- Pause controls for moving and auto-rotating content
- Labels for images, links, buttons, size and colour options, and form fields
- Announcements for screen readers when you change a size or add an item to your bag
Known limitations
Some parts of our site are provided by third parties, including checkout, international pricing and shipping (Global-e), reviews, our rewards program and some sign-up forms. We work with these providers to improve accessibility but don't fully control their content. We review the site regularly and fix issues as we find them.
